12 February 1992 - diplomatic relations are established between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Hungary

January 2000 - Belarusian Diplomatic Mission opens in Budapest

13 March 2000 - the first Belarusian Ambassador in Hungary H.E. Mr. Andrei Yeudachenka presents the Letters of Credence to the former President of the Republic of Hungary H.E.Dr. Árpád Göncz

23 May 2001 - Agreement between the Government of the Republic of Belarus and the Government of the Republic of Hungary on mutual visa free travels for the holders of diplomatic and service passports is signed in Budapest

Since 01 January 2005 come into force Convention between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Hungary for the avoidance of double taxation and the prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on incomes and on capital.
